[BREAKING NEWS]: IPOB Crisis Deepens As Kanu Expels 10 Key Members

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has announced the indefinite expulsion of 10 members of the dissolved Third Administration of the Directorate of State (DOS) from the organisation.

In a press statement issued on Sunday from Langenfeld, Germany, Kanu said the affected individuals would no longer represent, speak for, or act on behalf of IPOB in any capacity.

The expelled members include Chika Edoziem, Tony Nzurumike, Austin Agbanyim, Chukwudi Oforma, Isaiah Ubah, Colins Chinedu, Chinasa Nworu, Fidelis Ejiogu, Chidinma Nworu, also known as Juliet Edward Filatro, and Keke Uda.

According to Kanu, the expulsions take immediate effect and were carried out following what he described as repeated violations of the IPOB Code of Conduct.

Providing historical context, Kanu stated that he appointed the Third Administration of the Directorate of State from Kuje Prison in March 2017. He noted that the administration's original six-month tenure expired on September 16, 2017, but was allowed to continue at his discretion as Supreme Leader.

He explained that while the dissolution of the Third DOS administration was an administrative decision, the latest expulsions were disciplinary measures based on the conduct of the affected individuals before and after the dissolution.

Kanu maintained that IPOB is governed by its Code of Conduct, which he described as the supreme governing instrument of the movement, adding that all officers, coordinators, representatives and members are bound by its provisions.

He further asserted that the authority to appoint, discipline, suspend, remove, dissolve or expel any officer or administration within IPOB resides in the office of the Supreme Leader.

Listing the reasons for the expulsions, Kanu accused the affected individuals of abandoning him and other detained Biafrans without adequate legal, welfare or medical support, despite their responsibilities within the organisation.

He also alleged that they disregarded his directives regarding fundraising efforts for his medical treatment while he was in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Other allegations levelled against the expelled members included attacks on his legal team, attempts to undermine his court case, making false claims against members of his family, altering the IPOB oath of office, removing officers he appointed and replacing them with loyalists, and engaging in actions he said weakened the movement.

Kanu further accused the former DOS members of spreading claims that he would not regain freedom unless he abandoned the Biafra struggle and of circulating what he described as fabricated stories regarding advice allegedly received from two African countries.

The IPOB leader said their actions amounted to grave breaches of the movement's constitution and Code of Conduct, necessitating disciplinary action.

He warned that any person, group or organisation that associates with, hosts, platforms or allows the expelled individuals to speak on behalf of IPOB would be considered to be acting against the interests of the movement and the Biafra cause.

Kanu also directed IPOB members and supporters worldwide to give full support to the Fourth Administration of the Directorate of State, headed by Chris Nwaogu.

He concluded by reaffirming that the movement remains united and committed to its objectives under his leadership.
