Joseph Aloba, father of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has raised fresh doubts about the paternity of Liam, the child Mohbad left behind.
In an interview with Silverbird TV, Aloba revealed he has not had access to Liam since Mohbad's passing in September 2023. When asked about his efforts to meet the child, he expressed disappointment over the lack of communication:
“As a father, they know where I am living. They are supposed to come to me. They are supposed to bring that child to me and say this is your grandson. I demanded a DNA. They are supposed to say, 'Daddy, go and do it at your convenience time,' but they have been hiding it. This has now become a public issue. Let the court decide about the DNA, and then I will know what to do.”
Doubts About Liam’s Resemblance to Mohbad
When asked if Liam resembles Mohbad, Aloba stated:
“No… with what I am seeing.”
The reporter then asked him directly if he believed Liam was his grandson, to which he replied:
“He is not.”
Willingness to Accept DNA Results
Despite his doubts, Aloba said he would accept Liam as his grandson if a DNA test confirms the boy's paternity:
“Let the court make the final say concerning that.”
Aloba’s comments have sparked discussions online, with many urging a resolution to the matter to ensure family unity for the sake of the child.
