[BREAKING]: IPOB Reaffirms Monday Sit-At-Home, Slams “Fake IPOB Leaders” — Says Ejiofor Has No Authority

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a fresh and forceful clarification, declaring that the Monday sit-at-home directive remains firmly in place and non-negotiable, amid what it described as deliberate attempts to confuse the public with false claims and impersonation.

In a statement released on Monday and signed by Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB warned that individuals allegedly acting on behalf of the government or political interests while using the name of the movement would be exposed.

The group stressed that the sit-at-home order is a lawful act of solidarity with its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and urged residents of the South-East to ignore all counter-directives circulating online.

IPOB: Ejiofor No Longer Represents Kanu

IPOB categorically stated that Ifeanyi Ejiofor was removed from any role linked to the movement more than two years ago and does not speak for Kanu or IPOB.

The statement dismissed claims that Emma Powerful “does not exist,” describing them as laughable, especially in light of alleged recent communications directed at him asking that the sit-at-home be suspended.

Alleged Plot to Hijack IPOB Leadership

According to the statement, attempts were recently made by certain individuals linked to the Directorate of State (DOS) to pressure the IPOB spokesperson into halting public advocacy over Kanu’s continued detention.

IPOB accused those individuals of plotting to hijack the movement and divert attention from the core demand — the unconditional release of its leader.

Soludo Meetings Spark Outrage

The group further alleged that some DOS appointees compromised the struggle by holding meetings with Charles Soludo, actions IPOB said were aimed at weakening the strong support shown by traders at Onitsha Main Market.

Such moves, the statement said, amount to betrayal and undermine the collective sacrifice of Biafrans.

Fake Resignations, Online Infiltration

IPOB warned the public to disregard any resignation letters or statements circulating in the name of Emma Powerful, describing them as fabrications pushed by “anti-Biafra political jobbers.”

It claimed that hostile forces have infiltrated the online space, falsely using IPOB and DOS identities to spread confusion and disunity.

Media Engagement, Final Warning

Emma Powerful announced plans to appear on radio and media platforms from Monday through Tuesday morning to address the issues directly.

IPOB concluded by urging Biafrans to remain alert, resist misinformation, and observe the Monday sit-at-home order in full, insisting that the wider IPOB family remains united despite alleged internal compromises.

“The truth will prevail, and impostors will be unmasked,” the statement declared.
